Taylor Byrne commenced operations in 1960 in Brisbane and grew to 12 offices before merging with the New South Wales based Hoolihan Valuations in 2009. Hoolihan Valuations had 5 offices in New South Wales, and combined, the new Taylor Byrne Group now has 17 offices, with 12 in Queensland and 5 in New South Wales, making Taylor Byrne one of the largest valuation firms in Australia.

The Taylor Byrne Group is a wholly owned and operated single entity. In addition to undertaking work in Queensland and New South Wales,Taylor Byrne regularly undertakes valuations throughout the Northern Territory and the Kimberley Region of Western Australia.

Taylor Byrne provides a wide range of services and is well recognised for its strength in litigation valuation, mortgage security, family law and asset portfolio valuations. Taylor Byrne has also undertaken commercial/retail rental determination matters on behalf of tenants and landlords, and also as an expert appointed by the Australian Property Institute.

Valuations are provided for mortgage security purposes generally acting under instructions from financial institutions. Commercial, industrial and special purpose valuations are attended to by senior valuers, and residential valuations by a section specifically established for this purpose to enable a rapid "turn around" time.
