Overview & History

Taylor Byrne commenced operations in 1960 in Brisbane and since then has continued to expand throughout Queensland and New South Wales, recently opening an office in Adelaide, making Taylor Byrne one of the largest single entity valuation firms in Australia.

In addition to our work throughout Queensland and New South Wales, we regularly undertake valuations in the Northern Territory and the Kimberley Region of Western Australia.

The Company provides a full range of valuation services and is well recognised for its strength in litigation and acquisition, mortgage security, family law and asset portfolio valuations.

Two former partners of Taylor Byrne have sat as members of the Queensland Land Court.

Taylor Byrne’s strength in the field of litigation regularly sees our valuers appointed to act as Experts by the Courts, the API, and the various State Law Societies, for matters such as commercial rental determination, compulsory acquisition and partnership dissolution.

Our residential valuations are relied upon by all major financial institutions for mortgage security purposes. Valuations are only carried out by fully qualified valuers who are Associate Members or Fellows of the Australian Property Institute.

All commercial, industrial and special purpose valuations are completed by senior valuers, and each branch of Taylor Byrne has a dedicated commercial valuation team that are experienced in their local geographic areas.

Taylor Byrne is acknowledged as one of the leading rural valuation practices in Australia undertaking valuations in all mainland States and the Northern Territory.

Taylor Byrne also operates a specialist Project Valuation Division which is based in Brisbane, and is involved in property acquisition matters throughout Australia.

Taylor Byrne, as a supply business, recognises that our people are the strength of our organisation. As such, we have developed systems and procedures which recognise employee issues as well as foster and develop employee skills and abilities.

Taylor Byrne complies with all relevant local and national laws and regulations, relating to employment practices, benefits, health and safety and anti-discrimination laws.
